Car crash attack: Residents allegedly threatened by armed man after coming to his aid on Tasmanian highway
A man allegedly crashed his car in Tasmania, then attacked nearby residents who tried to help him.
The 33-year-old crashed his car on the Huon Hwy at Glendevie about 12.30am on Thursday.
“The man driving the car was not injured, but allegedly became aggressive towards nearby residents who had come to his aid,” Tasmania Police said.

The Dover man was arrested by officers at the scene.
He has been charged with disqualified driving, drink-driving, aggravated burglary and criminal assault.
“Police are seeking information from anyone who saw a Blue Hyundai Excel on the Huon Hwy between Dover and Glendevie around the time,” Tasmania Police said.
