Aldinga: Man charged with murder after body found inside cabin at Big 4 in Adelaide’s south

A man has been charged with murder after a body was found inside a cabin at a popular holiday destination in Adelaide’s south.
Emergency services were called to the Big 4 Port Willunga Tourist Park in Aldinga around 2.15pm on Monday following reports a 71-year-old man was found dead inside a cabin.
At the same time, a 49-year-old man from Aldinga presented himself at a police station and was subsequently arrested over the incident.

The men knew each other, SA Police confirmed in a statement, and advised that this was not a random incident.


“No one else is being sought in relation to the death and investigations are continuing,” a spokesperson said.

A resident of the tourist park told The Advertiser that “something terrible happened”.
“It’a always upsetting when you think someone might have committed something that is terribly violent, and it’s possible that’s happened,” she said.
“Most of the residents have no idea what’s going on, except that there’s a lot of police and two people that had a go.”
The charged man will appear in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
