Boy charged after allegedly shooting toy weapon at woman in Westfield West Lakes Shopping Centre in South Australia
A boy has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman by shooting her with a toy weapon at Westfield West Lakes Shopping Centre in South Australia.
Police were called to the shopping centre following reports the boy had fired “a sharp projectile” at a female shopper just before 11am on Sunday.
“A member of the public had been assaulted with a sharp projectile that police allege he inserted in a toy, allowing it to be fired,” police said.

The boy was arrested and has been charged with assault and carrying an offensive weapon in a school or public place.
He has been bailed to appear at the Port Adelaide Youth Court on April 3.
Investigations are ongoing, and police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
