A 77-year-old man has been killed when the quad bike he was driving collided with another ATV on a property in South Australia’s southeast.

Emergency services were called to the crash on private property on Synott Rd in Petherick, 65km east of Bordertown, at 5.30pm on Tuesday.

The 77-year-old man died at the scene, police said.

The driver of the second ATV was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
