Driver seriously injured in horrific crash in Mallala, South Australia

A driver has been seriously injured in a horrific crash that caused their vehicle to split in half north of Adelaide.

The car was travelling on Mallala Rd, Malalla about 5.30am on Saturday when it veered off the road, and struck a tree.

The driver, who was the only occupant inside the vehicle, sustained serious injuries.

Emergency services remain on the scene, with Adelaide Rd to Mallala Rd closed in both directions.

“Motorists should find an alternate route if possible,” SA Police said.
