Residents say this is a notorious stretch of Midway Rd that has seen multiple crashes in the past, with some believing a roundabout could help slow down the flow of traffic.
Resident Ian Chase said a nearby bus stop has been taken out by drivers losing control on the road.
“You know the bus stop across the road has been taken out twice since I’ve lived here and the guy’s fence over there, the whole fence got taken out,” he said.
Mel Copeland is the third motorcyclist and 17th fatality on SA roads so far this year.
