Franchisor Café De Vili’s posted on its Facebook page confirming the independently owned Elizabeth store had closed down.
It said the cafe was not related to the family-owned Vili’s Bakery.
“The Company, Café 24/7 Pty Ltd trading as Café De Vili’s Elizabeth, was a licensed franchisee of Café De Vili’s. An entity unrelated to the ownership and operation of Vili’s Family Bakery,” it said.
“We remain fully committed to providing you with the high-quality service and products you have come to expect from our other sites, at Mile End, Hillcrest and Blair Athol.”
Food services accounted for the second-highest number of businesses collapsing.
Another popular Adelaide bakery Abbots and Kinney also closed one of its stores recently.
Its owner said price increases were part of the reasons for many businesses struggling.
