South Australian man in life-threatening condition after crash in Port Adelaide

An Alberton man is in hospital fighting for life after his scooter collided with a car at Port Adelaide last night.
The 30-year-old was riding a scooter at the intersection of Grand Junction Road and Commercial Road when he was allegedly struck by a woman driving a Hyundai SUV.
Emergency services were called to the scene, with the Alberton man rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the car, a 29-year-old woman from Semaphore South, was not injured.

Officers from the Major Crash unit have examined the scene, and have arrested the Semaphore South woman.
She has been charged with causing serious harm by careless use of a vehicle, and instantly lost her license.
The woman will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on April 1.
