Springbrook National Park: Suspected human bones found in Gold Coast hinterland
Suspected human bones have been found in a popular national park, sparking a wider search of the area.
The bones were found by a member of the public in Springbrook National Park in the Gold Coast hinterland around 11.35am on Friday.
A crime scene was set up at Repeater Station Road as an investigation got underway, Queensland Police confirmed on Saturday.

Springbrook National Park is about an hour’s drive west of the Gold Coast and is popular with tourists and bushwalkers for its waterfalls, rainforest and ancient trees.
