Tarawera parachute fatality: Man dead after tragic incident

A man has died in ‘a parachuting incident’ in Queensland on Tuesday morning.

Queensland Ambulance Service were called to a property in Tarawera just before 8.00am.

Paramedics earlier said they were “assessing a patient for life-threatening injuries”.

A Queensland Police spokesperson later told The Nightly that: “One man was declared deceased at the scene.”

“The Forensic Crash Unit has been tasked to the scene and there is no further information available at this time.”

The property is located on Meandarra Talwood Rd and is understood to be part of Funny Farm.

Funny Farm, offers skydiving, accommodation and meals, and is located around 400km west of Brisbane CBD.

The Facebook and Instagram pages for the business appear to have been taken down.
