Tasmania Police Inspector Craig Fox said on Friday that the body had not been identified, but police were aware of two people who lived in the bus, one of who remains unaccounted for, ABC reports.

“Our thoughts go to the members of the community who may know this person and immediate family members and friends,” Fox said.

The cause of the fire is at this stage unknown.

“A formal identification of the deceased will be conducted and a report will be prepared for the Coroner,” Tasmania Police said.

Investigations are ongoing.
