A man has died in a single car crash in Tasmania’s north west.

The man, aged in his 20s, was driving along West Montagu Rd in Woolnorth when he left the road and crashed just before 4.40am on Friday.

The Circular Head man was the sole occupant of the car and died at the scene.

“Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones,” police said.

“Investigations into the crash are ongoing, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.”

The road was closed for several hours while the scene was cleared, but has since reopened.
