A teenage girl has been injured falling from the bonnet of a moving car in Perth.

The 16-year-old climbed onto the bonnet of a blue Ford Fiesta hatchback as it was driving slowly through the carpark at the rear of a fast food outlet on Albany Hwy about 3pm on June 22.

She then fell from the bonnet of the vehicle and sustained serious injuries as a result.

Paramedics rushed the girl to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

Western Australia Police are now investigating the incident and urge anyone with relevant information to come forward.

Footage, such as dashcam or mobile phone video, can be sent directly to investigators through the WA Police website.
