Tess Crosley chimes in with comment on Mad Monday themed Instagram post mocking Lachie Neale affair

Tess Crosley has publicly weighed in on a stunt mocking her infamous cheating scandal with Brisbane Lions star Lachie Neale.

Crosley, 30, was thrust into the spotlight and faced public scrutiny after rumours emerged she was having an affair with the husband of her long-time friend Jules Neale.

But several months on and widespread public interest surrounding the infidelity has shown little signs of fading.

On Tuesday, Crosley was among the subjects of a tongue-in-cheek Mad Monday themed costume stunt parodying the affair.

The Instagram post, shared by Mad Monday 365, showed three men dressed as the trio at the centre of the explosive scandal.

One can be seen pictured wearing a blonde wig in a nod to Jules with another donning a brunette wig to represent Crosley.

Standing between the two was a man kitted out in Brisbane Lions gear with his arms draped around the Crosley and Jules look-alikes.

“Tess, Lachie and Jules on Mad Monday,” the account captioned the photo.

Crosley appeared to take the joke in her stride as she took to the comments with a cheeky take of her own.

“Jump scare warning next time pls,” Crosley wrote next to crying laughing emoji .

It comes almost one month after Crosley shared her side of the story with the public for the first time in a highly anticipated tell-all interview.

Speaking to Debrief podcast host Savanna Young in August, Crosley offered her account of the saga , adding that the past year was a “chaotic” time in her life.

“I am doing well now, but the last 12 months was really, really chaotic and hard. I think that is sort of why I decided to come and speak today, because I think unless I actually verbalise it and talk about it, people don’t really know what I went through and how challenging is really was,” she said.

“I feel like I have done a lot of therapy and self work to sort of heal and I definitely made some decisions I deeply regret.”

When asked what the biggest misconception was in the wake of the fallout, Crosley admitted she had made mistakes but it did not define her as a person.

“There’s a few, first of all I have made some bad decisions I deeply regret but I believe that I am not a bad person,” she added.

“I also think it is important for people to understand that I was a nobody and I was in a high-profile scandal without all the high-profile help.

“When you’re a high-profile person you get the PR team, you get the management, you get, you know, all the social help to go through those situations, where I didn’t. I had to do it on my own.

“That was really challenging and confronting for not only myself, but my family and friends as well.”

Jules and Lachie’s marriage breakdown made headlines in December after Jules rejected reports the pair were “working through” issues in their relationship and declared she had been “betrayed in the most unimaginable way”.

Her former best friend, Crosley, was subsequently linked to the scandal after a screenshot surfaced of Jules demanding she remove social media pictures featuring Lachie.

“Take these down, you idiot. You’re embarrassing yourself,” Jules wrote at the time.

The costume stunt also comes amid on-field related drama for Neale as he fights to have a one-match ban lifted so he can play against Fremantle in the grand final on Saturday.

Neale copped a one-match suspension for striking Hawthorn’s Jack Ginnivan in the stomach during the Lions’ clash with the Hawks at the MCG on Saturday.

After facing tribunal on Tuesday night, Neale’s appeal to have the ban dropped was refused after four hours of deliberations.

The following day, the premiership player and the Lions announced they would be taking the case to the AFL appeal board at a hearing which is set to get underway at 4pm AEST on Thursday.
