Tragedy as woman dies after falling 80m down Mapleton waterfall on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast

A young woman has tragically died in a national park after plunging 80m down a waterfall.
The 36-year-old woman was at Mapleton Falls on the Sunshine Coast when she fell the significant distance about 3.30pm on Friday.
A spokesperson from Queensland Ambulance Service said the woman was treated by paramedics for significant life-threatening injuries.

Another person — an 18-year-old male who was with the woman at the time — was also injured, and transported to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.
