ANZAC Day disturbance: Shrine of Remembrance service, Melbourne, allegedly disrupted, man charged

Police have charged a 23-year-old man over an alleged disruption at the ANZAC Day dawn service at Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance earlier this year.
Officers said a small group disturbed the service on April 25, prompting an investigation.
On September 2, detectives charged the Mooroolbark man on summons with three offences: behaving in an offensive manner in a public place, offending against decency by conduct and behaviour at the Shrine, and taking part in a disturbance on Shrine grounds.

Police also confirmed a 26-year-old man from Kensington was interviewed on the day in relation to offensive behaviour. He was released pending summons and directed to leave the area.
