Mount Buller: Man killed after tree falls on car, female driver seriously injured
A tree has suddenly crashed onto a car at a popular ski resort, leaving one man dead and a woman with life-threatening injuries.
A man has died after a tree fell onto a moving car at Mount Buller in Victoria’s north-east.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Mount Buller Road about 9.15am on Monday following reports of a single-vehicle incident.
Police believe the car was travelling along the road when a tree suddenly fell, striking the vehicle.

The female driver was taken to Wangaratta Hospital in a serious condition with upper body injuries.

Victoria Police and paramedics attended the incident.
“Police are continuing to establish the circumstances and an investigation is ongoing,” a spokesperson said.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
Mount Buller Road remains closed in both directions, with motorists advised to expect significant delays.
