Armstrong Creek: Teenage girl assaults man and leads police on four-hour chase in stolen Honda Civic
A teenage girl has led police in a pursuit that lasted for four hours after a man was assaulted and his car stolen in regional Victoria.
Waurn Ponds police have charged the teenager after allegedly evading police in the stolen car at Armstrong Creek in the early hours of Thursday morning.
It is alleged two females assaulted a victim on Surf Coast Highway on Wednesday night at about 10.45pm. The 28-year-old Clayton man sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

The stolen car was spotted by police driving from Waurn Ponds to Altona at about 12.15am and a pusit was initiated.
With the assistance of the air wing, officers tracked the vehicle from Altona to Geelong, and then from Geelong to Fawkner reaching speeds of up to 160km/h.
The teenager travelled back to the Surf Coast Highway in Armstrong, where police successfully deployed stop sticks.
The driver then dumped the vehicle and was arrested by police at about 2.55am.
The 16-year-old Armstrong Creek girl has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, assault, dangerous driving while pursued by police and traffic offences.
She is also facing several charges relating to separate incidents including:
- Theft of motor vehicle in Narre Warren on 23 September
- Drug offences in Armstrong Creek on 8 August
- Theft of motor vehicle in Narre Warren on 26 July
- Aggravated carjacking in Richmond on 18 July
- Armed robbery in Richmond on 18 July
- Unlicensed driving matters
The teenager remains in custody to appear at a children’s court today.
