Axedale: Rosie the disability support horse stolen as police appeal for public assitance in hunt for thieves

Heartless thieves have caused immeasurable grief for children with disabilities and their families after a disability-support horse called Rosie was stolen.
Rosie, who has helped over 100 children with disabilities as a therapy horse over the past two years, was allegedly stolen from a property in Axedale.
Police are asking for public assistance after Rosie was taken from a Victorian property, describing her disappearance as causing “a lot of pain” for the young children who love spending time with the horse.

“This is a case that’s caused a lot of pain to a number of vulnerable young children,” Leading Senior Constable Dan O’Bree said.
“Rosie means an awful lot to these kids and we want nothing more than to see her returned unharmed.
“Someone out there will have seen something, or know something, and it’s important that they come forward.”
Police say they are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage showing a vehicle towing a horse trailer in the Axedale, Heathcote, Strathfieldsaye or Bendigo areas.
