Bairnsdale: Woman charged, four men hospitalised after alleged stabbing attack in regional Victoria

A woman has been charged after she allegedly went on a horrifying stabbing rampage in a regional Victorian town, leaving four men hospitalised.
The 24-year-old woman began behaving erratically in a supermarket on Nicholson Street in Bairnsdale around 9.50pm on Thursday, police confirmed in a statement.
She first approached a 45-year-old male staff member and allegedly stabbed him in the stomach before fleeing the store.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.The Ravenhall woman then made her way towards a nearby fast-food restaurant car park, where it is alleged she approached a 21-year-old man in his car and demanded a lift.
An altercation broke out between the two, with the woman stabbing the man and leaving him with a laceration to his stomach.
It is then alleged that the woman went to a nearby hotel on Macleod Street, where she attacked a third man, leaving the 52-year-old with a non-life-threatening cut to his arm.
The final attack took place at Bairnsdale Train Station, when the woman allegedly stabbed a fourth man, a 25-year-old, in the shoulder.
All four victims were taken to hospital for treatment.
While the supermarket employee remains in a serious condition, the final three victims escaped with minor injuries.
The woman has been charged with intentionally and recklessly causing injury.
She will appear at Bairnsdale Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
