Bayswater stabbing: Man arrested after teenagers witness woman's fatal stabbing at house on Cousin Drive

Police have arrested a 47-year-old man after a woman was fatally stabbed at a residential address.

Emergency services were called to reports a woman had been stabbed at a home in Cousin Drive, Bayswater, in east Melbourne on Saturday at 11.15am.

They arrived to find a deceased woman inside the address.

The woman is yet to be formally identified.

Victoria Police said a Bayswater man was arrested a short time later at a neighbouring address.

They said three teenagers were at the scene at the time and reportedly witnessed the incident, with one sustaining a minor injury.

Homicide detectives are investigating and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
