A man and woman living in a home attached to the milk bar managed to safely evacuate and were not injured.

An arson chemist and detectives are expected to attend the scene on Wednesday morning to begin investigations into the blaze, which has been deemed suspicious.

“Police will investigate whether the damage and fire are linked to any other recent incidents,” Victoria Police said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
