A teenage boy has died after a horrific e-bike crash in Melbourne’s northeast.

Emergency services were called to Chute Street in Diamond Creek around 10pm on Monday after reports a four-wheel-drive struck an e-bike rider.

The 14-year-old boy was treated at the scene, but could not be saved.

In harrowing scenes after the crash, onlookers watched on as the teen boy’s family arrive, realising he had been struck.

The driver of the four-wheel drive, a 64-year-old male, is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

Detectives remain on the scene on Tuesday morning to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
