Gang terrorises Melbourne family of nine after smashing their way into Melton home
A father has had a gun pointed at his head and a knife held to his neck during a terrifying and violent raid at a home in Melbourne’s west.
A mother who had woken to make her one-year-old baby a bottle alerted the Melton family of nine to the danger when she screamed out for her husband.
Everyone else in the home had been sleeping when seven intruders brandishing machetes and guns stormed their way inside.

“They (pointed) the gun on my head, they got a kitchen knife on my neck... and I got machetes on my stomach,” he said.
The thugs smashed the family’s car, walls, cabinets and everything in their path.
When their terrified children locked themselves inside bedrooms, the intruders tried to get in.
Khamis’ young daughter bravely escaped next door to raise the alarm.
7NEWS understands the gang had already invaded and smashed up another family home just a few kilometres away.
And their rampage is thought to have continued at a third home in St Albans.
Detectives are investigating whether those involved are known to each other.
No arrests have been made.
