Keilor Downs, Victoria: Newborn baby found in yard after member of the public makes shock discovery

Police are investigating after a newborn baby was found alive in the yard of a home in Victoria.

A newborn baby has been found alive in the yard of a home in Victoria.

Police say a member of the public raised the alarm after finding the infant abandoned in the yard of their Copernicus Way home in Keilor Downs shortly before 8am on Thursday.

“The baby and a woman from a nearby address were taken to hospital for treatment,” a police statement read.
