Man dead in major collision at the intersection of Castle Carey Rd and Mortlake-Ararat Rd in Mortlake near Warrnambool
A man has died in a major collision on a rural Victorian road.
The 32-year-old man was behind the wheel of a car when it crashed with a ute at the intersection of Castle Carey Rd and Mortlake-Ararat Rd in Mortlake — near Warrnambool — about 4pm on Wednesday.
The Warrnambool man died at the scene.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing,” Victoria Police said.
Anyone with relevant information about the crash is urged to contact police.
There have been 273 deaths on Victorian roads this year, in comparison with 278 deaths this time last year.
