A man has died after being pulled unresponsive from the water at Queenscliff in Victoria, on Saturday morning.

Police said the 62-year-old man from Caroline Springs had been fishing in the early hours before he was found unresponsive in the water near Queenscliff Pier about 4.20am.

His death is not believed to be suspicious.
