Melbourne, CBD: Two men charged after alleged ‘targeted’ shooting leaves 26yo dead

Two men have been charged with murder after a 26-year-old was shot dead in Melbourne’s CBD earlier this month.
The Seaford man was gunned down on a city street about 3.40am on Sunday, September 7. He was rushed to the hospital with upper body injuries but died soon after.
Police allege the shooting was a targeted attack, involving a group of men known to the victim.

Following interviews, a 23-year-old Doveton man and a 22-year-old Clyde man were charged with murder. They were refused bail and are due to face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
A 22-year-old Pakenham man and a 23-year-old Keysborough man were released without charge, with police saying inquiries are continuing.
