Melbourne tram upskirting probe: Police appeal for help identifying man after alleged schoolgirl incident
Detectives are hunting a man they believe may be able to assist their investigation into an alleged upskirting incident involving an 11-year-old girl.
An 11-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly targeted by a man who took inappropriate images of her during a morning tram ride to school, with police now appealing for help to identify a key person of interest.
Victoria Police have released a digital composite image as part of an investigation into the alleged upskirting incident, which reportedly occurred on a route 57 tram travelling through Melbourne’s CBD last month.
Detectives have been told the girl was seated opposite an unknown man between 8.25am and 8.45am when he allegedly took inappropriate photographs of her.

The girl continued to school, where she reported the incident.
Police were subsequently notified and Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives launched an investigation.
Investigators have now released a digital composite image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, aged between 20 and 30, with slightly curly shoulder-length blond hair. At the time, he was wearing a knitted burnt orange and brown jumper with jeans.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
