Mystery surrounds man and woman found dead inside Werribee home during welfare check
Police made a grim discovery inside the Melbourne home that was due to be opened for inspection.
A man and woman have been found dead inside a home in Melbourne’s southwest, with detectives now investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery.
Police attended the Melton Close property in Werribee for a welfare check on Friday afternoon, where they found the bodies of a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman inside the home.

Neighbours have expressed shock over the discovery, with one resident saying they had not heard any signs of disturbance coming from the home.
“Neighbours are quiet, so I haven’t really heard anything like argument or fighting,” one said.

Detectives are now awaiting the results of autopsies as they work to determine how the pair died.
Police said they are not looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths and investigations are ongoing.
