Sam ‘The Punisher’ Abdulrahim’s loved ones in emotional graveyard tribute after he was gunned down in Melbourne
Heartbroken relatives of a prominent gangland figure have paid an emotional tribute by his grave after he was gunned down in a brazen shooting in Melbourne’s northeast.
Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim, 34, was laid to rest at Northern Memorial Park on Thursday — just two days after he was ambushed and executed in a carpark outside the Quest Hotel in Preston on Tuesday morning.
Devastated loved ones gathered at the cemetery over the weekend to pose for photos by his flower-adorned coffin.

Sharing the photos online, Abdulrahim’s sister Ektimal described her little brother as “my soul, my world” as she slammed his killer — who has not yet been caught.
“Not a day goes by I won’t be next to you like I always did,” she wrote.
“They’re weak. They’re that weak so they got you from the back instead.
“You died like a soldier.”
Friends rallied to show their support for the family.
“Rest easy bro, every dog gets their day,” one man said.
“They had to take you out a cheap way instead of being a man.
“Rest in peace legend, your legacy lives on.”
“A truly great man gone way too soon,” another friend wrote.
“It’s really sad the human race has come to this. But you achieved so much in such a little time.”
Ektimal previously vowed to avenge her brother’s death in a social media post just hours after he was killed.
“Whoever shot my brother to death, I’m after you,” she wrote.
‘’Never ends here.”
Abdulrahim, a professional boxer who went by the name “The Punisher” in the ring, had survived two earlier attempts to kill him and reportedly had a $2 million contract out on his life.
His long list of enemies include members of bikie gang the Mongols, high-ranking members of the Comanchero, as well as Middle Eastern gang crime figures.
Abdulrahim had reportedly been in hiding since May 2024 after narrowly escaping death when he was shot 17 times in the chest outside his Thomastown home.
Three months later his home was set alight in an arson attack.
Abdulrahim was not home at the time.
He also survived a hit in June 2022 when he was shot eight times while leaving his cousin’s funeral at Fawkner cemetery.
No arrests have been made over his death and the police investigation remains ongoing.
