Strathmore: Police arrest woman travelling on train with a python in her pants in Melbourne

A woman in Strathmore has bee arrested with a python in her trousers.

Transit police officers have been left in shock after arresting a woman on a train who then claimed to have a snake in her pants, and she was not joking.

Police detained and searched the woman when they found a small python during the arrest in Strathmore in Melbourne last week.

It is alleged a woman attended a property on Milton Court in Heidelberg Heights on February 23 where she damaged property.

The 34-year-old Essendon woman was located by police at Strathmore Railway Station at about 9.20pm on March 5 and detained for questioning.

During the arrest, the woman claimed she had a snake down her pants.

Officers then searched the woman and located a small python which was later put safely into a box and collected by DECA.

The woman was charged with criminal damage and trespass and was bailed to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates’ Court on April 29.
