Teenager slashed with machete at Melbourne train station
A teenage boy has been slashed with a machete at a train station in Melbourne’s west.
Police and paramedics were called to Melton train station about 5.10pm on Tuesday to reports of a fight that had broken out when a group of people approached the teen.
The 17-year-old had his hand slashed with a machete and was taken to Royal Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 24-year-old from Brookfield was arrested and released pending further inquiries.
Police are continuing to investigate and anyone with information is urged to contact them.
