Wantirna South: Child fighting for life after horrific two-car crash in Melbourne’s East

A child is fighting for her life, and another has serious injuries following a horrific two-car crash in Melbourne’s East on Thursday night.
A silver Toyota Corolla and a grey Nissan Skyline collided on High Street Road, at the intersection of Wallace Road, in Wantirna South, around 8.20pm.
The Corolla was carrying four people.

A four-year-old boy was also taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver, a 38-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries, while a 38-year-old male passenger was unharmed.
The two male occupants of the Nissan sustained minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
“Police are urging anyone who was driving on High Street Road or Wallace Road prior to the collision to check their dashcam,” a statement from Victoria Police read.
Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision.
