Young man seriously injured when trampled by cows at abattoir in Corio, Geelong in Victoria

A man has been seriously injured when he was trampled by cows at an abattoir in Victoria.

The man in his 20s was crushed by the animals sometime about 1.55pm on Sunday in Corio, Geelong.

He was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious but stable condition with upper body injuries, Ambulance Victoria said.

WorkSafe said it was aware of the incident.

“WorkSafe has been notified and inspectors will determine if further action is required,” a spokesperson said.
