Virgin Australia crew allegedly raped and robbed while partying in Fiji during New Year celebrations
Virgin Australia crew members have been allegedly sexually assaulted and robbed in Fiji while celebrating New Year’s Eve.
Citing local police, the Fiji Sun reported the alleged assault occurred during a night out clubbing in Nadi in the early hours of New Year’s Day.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.“We confirm police are investigating the Austalian airline crew case as they were victims of theft and of allegations of rape after clubbing,” said acting commissioner of Fiji police Juki Fong Chew.
The crew members were then separated and restricted to their rooms at Hotel Tanoa.
Virgin Australia confirmed that an incident occurred but did not provide further details.
The airline has sent a management team to investigate and dispatched a replacement crew to fly the original plane back to Australia.
Family members of the crew involved have also been flown to the South Pacific country.
Local police are currently investigating the matter.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade was tight-lipped on Wednesday evening.
“The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is aware of these reports,” a spokesperson told 7NEWS.com.au.
“Owing to our privacy obligations we are unable to provide further comment.”
