Virgin Australia flights from $49 in massive domestic, international sale

Virgin Australia has slashed prices on more than a million tickets on domestic and international flights in a huge sale - just in time for the summer holidays.
For one week only, customers will be able to secure discounted flights to destinations across Australia and overseas, with prices starting as low as $49 for a one-way ticket.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.Travellers can snap up one-way tickets from Sydney to Ballina (Byron Bay) from $49, Melbourne to the Gold Coast for $89 and Brisbane to Uluru from just $135.
Those keen to check out an international holiday are also in luck, with return economy lite flights from Sydney to Denpasar (Bali) from just $449 and Melbourne to Fiji from $629.
The sale also includes return business class fares from Brisbane to Vanuatu for $999, as well as flights from Melbourne to Queenstown for $1299.

“With a new year on the horizon, it’s the perfect time for travellers to plan their 2026 escapes across Australia and beyond, all while earning Velocity Points towards future adventures,” Virgin Australia executive Libby Minogue said.
“Whether it’s an interstate getaway or an international bucket list destination, these deals won’t last long, so we encourage travellers to get in quick.”
The sale begins on Monday and will end at midnight on October 27, unless sold out prior, for selected travel dated between January 6 and September 15 2026.
All Virgin Australia fares include the ability for Velocity Frequent Flyer members to earn Velocity Points and Status Credits.
