Brock Pavy, 39, identified as body found in Swan View as police issue new appeal over suspicious death
A man found dead in a Perth stormwater drain last week had a great sense of humour and a contagious laugh, but “was always in the wrong place at the wrong time”, his family says.
Brock Pavy, 39, was spotted by a member of the public near Marlboro Rd in Swan View about 11am on Thursday, July 18.
In a statement issued via West Australian Police on Tuesday, Pavy’s family said he enjoyed the “simple things” in life but had a knack for finding trouble.

“He enjoyed the simple things like fishing, a good T-bone steak, big dogs, comfy tracksuits and having a beer and a smoke.
“No parent should have to bury their child.”
Pavy is survived by his father, sister, and two nephews.
The statement comes amid a renewed appeal for information from major crime detectives investigating Pavy’s final days and weeks.
It is not known how long he had been at the location near Swan View Senior High School before he was found.
Police are particularly interested in speaking to the occupants of a white Ford Falcon sedan parked at the intersection of Morrison Rd and Marlboro Rd about 2am on the day Pavy’s body was spotted.
Police are treating the death as suspicious, and anyone with information is being asked to contact Crime Stoppers.
