“He ended up in a neck brace, he had to have X-rays and MRIs to make sure that there wasn’t any serious injuries.”
Mason, who lives with autism and ADHD, spent almost a whole day at Perth Children’s Hospital.
Fortunately, doctors were able to clear him of serious injury.

Mason was well enough to return to school on Monday, but his mum said there was serious anxiety about doing so.
7NEWS was told that students are “on edge” after incidents where chairs and bags had been thrown, with some children pulled from the school by parents who have had enough.
Mason’s family does not blame the school but is calling on the education department to offer more support to schools to help stamp out bullying and antisocial behaviour.
The education department told 7NEWS “specialist support is being directed to the school” but also needs “the cooperation of families and the wider community” to model respectful behaviour.
