Trumper, a fly-in-fly-out electrician, was on his week off when the crash occurred.
Nasslec Electrical managing director Shane Mc Nasser had worked with Trumper for two years and said the crash and his death had come as a “massive shock” to the team.
“My first thought was his kids and his wife. It’s devastating,” he told 7NEWS.com.au.
Mc Nasser described his “dear friend” as a true gentleman with a gentle soul - “always laughing and joking, always in good spirits”.
“He fit in with everybody. No job was too big or too small. He just got stuck in,” Mc Nasser said.
Mc Nasser launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to help Trumper’s family, who had moved to WA from England, navigate the coming weeks and months.
“The response (to the fundraiser) has been great. Hopefully it’s a bit of comfort to the family,” he said.
Mc Nasser told 7NEWS.com.au Trumper’s wife Erika had been overwhelmed by the donations and messages honouring her husband’s memory.
Major Crash detectives are investigating the incident and have appealed for information from the public.
Anyone who saw the blue motorbike prior to the crash can contact Crime Stoppers.
