An elderly woman is fighting for life in hospital after she was struck by a vehicle in a Kardinya carpark.

Major Crash investigators are probing the incident, after the woman, 70, was hit by a Hyundai i30 sedan in the carpark of a reserve on Gillet Drive in Kardinya around 4.20pm on Sunday.

It is understood she suffered serious head injuries as a result of the collision.

She was later taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance before being admitted to the intensive care unit.

A hospital spokesman said she remains in a critical condition.

Police are looking to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident and relevant footage can be uploaded directly to investigators here.
