Two children remain in hospital after being hit by a 4WD during an afternoon bike ride in Perth’s northern suburbs.
CCTV vision captured the boys, aged 8 and 11, riding on the same bike around a corner onto Amberton Ave, Girrawheen, about 5.15pm on Wednesday.
Moments later, the bike was struck by a black Mitsubishi Pajero travelling in the same direction, and the boys were thrown metres down the road.

Nearby family members arrived soon after.
The eight-year-old was taken to Perth Children’s Hospital with critical injuries and remains in a serious but stable condition.
The 11-year-old was taken to the same hospital with serious injuries but is now stable.
The 39-year-old male driver was uninjured. He is assisting police with inquiries.
“This is about road users paying attention to what’s around them and I don’t think I’m in a position where I’m going to be blaming kids for riding around the streets, this is for a driver to pay attention to what they’re doing,” WA Police Commissioner Col Blanch said.
“At this stage, all I know is that there was an indication of the presence of alcohol, but I don’t know what the speed was but the Major Crash investigation team will determine that.”
Major Crash investigators are examining the scene and are appealing for any witnesses to call Crime Stoppers.
