Balnarring Beach: Man’s body pulled from water after falling from kayak and drowning on Mornington Peninsula

A man has died after falling from his kayak and into the water off a beach south of Melbourne.

The man is understood to have been using the kayak around Balnarring Beach on Thursday before he fell into the ocean.

Located on the Mornington Peninsula, the Melbourne beach is around 65km south of the city.

At around 1pm, a bystander saw the man in the water and pulled him to land.

Paramedics attempted to revive the man, but he was confirmed dead at the scene.

Victoria Police said the man is “yet to be formally identified”.
