Motorbike rider killed in collision with four-wheel-drive in Hamilton Hill, Perth

The rider was taken to hospital in Perth's south but could not be saved.

A motorbike rider has died in hospital from injuries sustained in a crash with a 4WD in Perth’s south early on Friday.

The Suzuki motorcycle and Nissan Patrol utility collided on Cockburn Rd near the intersection of Rockingham Rd in Hamilton Hill about 7.20am.

The bike rider, a 39-year-old man, was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with critical injuries and died a short time later.

The Patrol driver was uninjured.

The incident is now subject to a major crash investigation and police have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
