An online fundraiser launched to cover medical bills and secure his passage home to WA has attracted more than $135,000 in donations, including a $40,000 contribution from an anonymous source.

The emergency flight landed in Perth just before 8pm on Sunday.

Brown remains in a critical but stable condition at Royal Perth Hospital on Monday.

“We’ve found strength in each other and been overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers and new friends, helping us in countless ways,” his father Steven Brown said.

“Our loved ones back home have been there 24/7 for support and logistics. Your generosity has melted our hearts, and we’ll never forget it.”

Tragic year for Aussies in Bali

The accident comes amid a horror run of accidents involving Australians in Bali.

Perth man Shane Ramsey died from critical injuries he sustained in a scooter crash in Seminyak in August. An online fundraiser set up for Ramsey generated $129,000 in donations which helped fly him home.

Ramsey’s mother said she was taking solace in knowing that he was an organ donor who will give the gift of life to others.

Australian man Thomas Cossins was killed in Buleleng in August when he crashed his motorbike while on holiday with his fiance.

A NSW family’s “holiday of a lifetime” in Bali turned to tragedy after their 14-month-old son died in a devastating accident. Parents Brendan Sharp and his partner Grace Williams were staying with family and friends at a villa in North Kuta when their son Khyden James died on October 19.

Indonesian police told The Daily Telegraph they attributed the boy’s death to drowning in the pool of the villa his family was staying at on October 19. The Singleton family was reportedly staying with a group of seven adults and eight children at Villa Besar in North Kuta when the terrible accident occurred.
