A woman hit by two vehicles after an alleged “disturbance” was left on the ground by the two drivers involved.

The woman was hit by a white Toyota Hilux on Lyndavale Dr in Alice Springs at 7am on Thursday following the disturbance, then struck again by a second vehicle as she lay on the ground.

The male driver of the second car attempted to stop, but could not because of an altercation, so drove to Alice Springs police station where he is assisting officers.

He underwent a breath and drug test and both were negative.

The driver of the first car is yet to be located.

The 31-year-old woman was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact them.
