Ex-AFL WAG Bec Judd hits out at new Victorian Premier Ben Carroll in fiery new Instagram post

One of Australia’s favourite former WAGs has traded her usual lifestyle posts for something more political.

Perth-raised influencer Bec Judd has gained fame with her luxurious holiday posts, shopping hauls, and podcast clips — but now, the 43-year-old is using her platform to take aim at a major Labor politician.

Controversial Victorian premier Jacinta Allen was ousted from office on Tuesday amid a leadership spill, with her deputy Ben Carroll taking the reins of the State’s highest office.

While the appointment of Carroll has received mixed reviews from the Victorian public, Judd has made her displeasure well-known.

The media personality took to Instagram on Tuesday morning to slam the newly-selected Premier and his complicity in the “downfall” of the Garden state.

“Never forget that this man sat with Daniel Andrews and Jacinta Allan, and was complicit in the downfall of Victoria,” she wrote in a story alongside a screenshot of The Age’s article about the spill.

“Same sh**, different face.”

Caroll had worked alongside Allan and Andrews since 2013 — with the 51-year-old having held multiple portfolios in Andrews’ cabinet before his 2023 promotion to Deputy Premier.

The new Premier has already addressed some concerns related to his political background during his maiden speech on Tuesday, with Carroll telling voters just hours after his appointment that he plans to do things “differently”.

“Let me make one thing very clear: I am not Daniel Andrews. I am not Jacinta Allan,” he said on Tuesday afternoon.

“I will do things differently, because different times require a new approach.”

Tuesday’s comments are not the first time the wife of the former West Coast Eagle has spoken out against the state’s Labor party.

In March 2024, the Perth-raised influencer — who now lives in a multi-million dollar mansion in Melbourne’s leafy Brighton area — took to Instagram to complain to the then-Premier Jacinta Allen about youth crime across Victoria.

“@victoriapolice are doing their job. The justice system and State Government are not,” she wrote in a post to her followers.

“@jacintaallanmp stays quiet while we wonder if a gang of machete-wielding youths are going to invade our homes while our children sleep.

“Lock bail offenders up. Ban machetes and other weapons. There’s a start.”

In June 2022, the activewear founder also made headlines after revealing she felt “unsafe” in Melbourne — telling her followers that the Victorian Labor government was not doing enough to “combat rapes, bashings, and home invasions”.
