Touring American rapper Jelly Roll has accused Sydney’s Louis Vuitton store of treating him “like a criminal” following a recent visit to the high fashion outlet.

The 40-year-old — born Jason Bradley DeFord — laughed off the interaction as he revealed his ordeal in a story post to his 5.4 million Instagram followers.

“Hey man, the Louis Vuitton in Sydney legitimately treated just like we were finna (sic) come in and rob that place,” Jelly Roll said.

“I have never been looked at more like a crim... Listen, the last time I was looked at like a criminal this bad, I was an actual criminal this bad.”

The performer has previously spoken about his troubled younger years, spending much of ages 14-25 in correctional facilities as a result of aggravated robbery and drug-related crimes.

He’s even admitting to learning of his daughter’s birth while locked up at the age of 17.

Jelly Roll is in the midst of his first Australian tour which launched in Brisbane on October 24, and included a headline performance at Perth’s Claremont Showgrounds for Strummingbird festival on November 2.

The Grammy-nominated star appears to have enjoyed his Aussie jaunt to date, inviting homegrown UFC product Alex Volkanovski on stage in Sydney earlier this week.

Embracing the local culture, the American has also served a ‘shoey’ to his drummer on stage.

Jelly Roll’s final performance Down Under will be in Townsville on Thursday night.
