The couple explained the evening’s proceedings in an understated video while seated at their backyard bonfire, with a black and white photo of Price flaunting her new ring finger bling also shared.

“What did you do tonight?” Price asked her beau.

“I proposed,” the 129-gamer said. “There it is, finally, after six years.”

“Six years too long?” Price teased.

“Nah, timed it to perfection.... So that will shut you up,” Perryman added.

The joyful pair quickly received a flood of well-wishes from friends within the footy and netball spheres.

Collingwood teammate Josh Daicos said, “Ayy Congrats you two!!”

While Pie-turned-Docker Mason Cox added, “YES!!!!! Congratulations yall!”

“Beautiful news. So happy for you xxxx,” Bec Judd said.

Price’s former Giants teammate Jo Harten was in on the couple’s joke, commenting: “That’ll shut ya up!”

Both Perryman and Price played in Sydney for the GWS Giants in their respective codes, before the footy player moved to Melbourne to join Collingwood in late 2024, and his now fiance joined the Melbourne Mavericks in the back end of 2025.

Price boasts an impressive sporting pedigree, winning gold for the Australian Diamonds at the 2023 Netball World Cup. She is the daughter of former NRL player Steve Price, and niece of Brisbane Broncos premiership player Brent Tate.

The couple follow a long list of footy-netball relationships in Australia, with other contemporary examples including Josh Dunkley and Tippah Dwan, and Tim English and Rudi English (nee Ellis).
