Chloe Grace Moretz and girlfriend Kate Harrison tie the knot after seven years of dating

Actress Chloe Grace Moretz is married.

The star, who rose to fame with early roles in Desperate Housewives and movie Kick-Ass, 28, has tied the knot with photographer girlfriend Kate Harrison, 34, on the US Labor Day weekend.

Labor Day — celebrated on September 1 this year — is a federal holiday honouring the American labour movement and workers’ contributions in the United States.

The couple’s wedding, after seven years of dating, was profiled by US Vogue magazine.

Moretz’s powder blue gown was designed by Louis Vuitton and featured opera gloves, while Harrison opted for a similar glamorous gown, only in white, for the couple’s big day.

“A big part of the wedding is sharing things that Kate and I love with everyone that’s going to be there,” the actress told the publication, confirming the nuptials had occurred this past weekend.

“So, there’s fishing, horseback riding and poker. Kate made a custom poker mat herself, so we’re going to kind of be leaning into it. Our second day (of the wedding) is going to be line dancing and everything.”

About the dress, Moretz added: “I never really envisioned a wedding dress in my mind growing up, so when we started talking about what that would look like I knew I would do something non-traditional and not wear white, and kind of have it feel different, and I think it really does.”

Moretz combined an old Hollywood style along with more personal touches to celebrate their wedding.

Vogue took photos at the Louis Vuitton atelier in Paris as the brides had the final fitting of their gowns.

For the after-party, Moretz wore a white custom jacket and trousers which she paired with a cowboy hat.

Meanwhile, Harris wore a bodice and trousers with a sheer overlay on top that featured thin metallic spaghetti straps.

Moretz and Harrison have largely kept their personal life out of the public eye.

The actress came out as gay in November last year, while endorsing Kamala Harris for president.

Moretz confirmed their engagement during an Instagram photo dump on New Year’s Eve last year, showcasing their brilliant-cut diamond engagement rings.
